Chamber Music Program for Adults
Welcome to the Alaria Chamber Music Program for adult musicians of all ages and levels. Be a part of our musical family, as we rehearse, perform, and socialize in a welcoming and congenial atmosphere.
We offer two courses:
Chamber Music Class
This class is open to everyone; Fall and Spring Terms are 11 weeks, the Summer Workshop is 5 weeks.
One two-hour session weekly, including 1 hour of coaching
Two opportunities per term to perform: an informal midterm concert, and an end-of-term public recital.
Sonata Class
This 11-week performance seminar is ideal for more advanced players; class space is limited.
One-hour weekly sessions alternate between masterclass format and private coaching
At the end of the term, participants perform pieces in their entirety in a public recital
Masterclasses
Each term we offer a masterclass to our participants, led by a master performer. In our upcoming fall session, the class will be led by renowned cellist and member of the Alaria Chamber Ensemble, Julian Schwarz.
“Alaria has enriched my life immeasurably. It introduced me to many fellow players who have become friends and connected me with a musical community. Skill, confidence, pleasure in performing: It’s been so musically and personally satisfying I will keep coming back as long as I’m able.”

Registration
